PixTray Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use PixTray, an Android app published by Jingjing Cui ("we", "us").
Summary
- PixTray processes your files on your device. We do not upload, store or read your files on any server.
- PixTray has no accounts and does not run its own analytics.
- PixTray shows ads through Google AdMob. Google's ad software collects some device information, described below.
Files you open and create
- PixTray can only open the photos and files you choose in Android's photo picker or file picker. It does not ask for storage permission.
- Scanning, merging, splitting, converting, compressing, resizing and stitching all run on your device.
- Results are saved as new files in the Downloads/PixTray folder on your device. Your original files are not changed. You can delete the results at any time from PixTray's Files tab or any file manager.
- When you compress images, you can choose to remove location and camera details (EXIF data) from the copies.
Document scanner
PixTray uses the Google ML Kit document scanner, which is provided by Google Play services. The camera and the scanning screens are run by Google Play services, scanning happens on your device, and PixTray only receives the finished PDF. Google Play services may download the scanner the first time you use it. Google's handling of that download is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
PixTray shows banner ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob). According to Google, the SDK automatically collects and shares the following with Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device
- Product interactions, such as app launches, taps and ad views
- Diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy usage
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID
Google encrypts this data in transit. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Consent. If you are in a region where consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, PixTray asks for your choice through Google's consent form before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in PixTray under Settings > Privacy choices.
- Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings (usually Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on your device).
Children
PixTray is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
